Huot Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Columbus in Walk-Off Win
|
The Columbus Aces walked off with a big win today at Central Park Downtown Stadium.
In a high-scoring game between Columbus and San Francisco, right fielder John Huot was a difference-maker. The 23-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 11-8 Columbus win. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. Columbus now owns a record of 32-41.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Huot. Facing Kunihiko Mizuno with runners on 1st and 2nd, the Columbus right fielder had a 3-run home run. Game over, walk-off style!
Huot described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
