Monarchs Turn Back Trois-Rivieres, 3-1
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of London fans at Hatchets Ballpark.
In a well-pitched game between the London Monarchs and the Trois-Rivieres Saints, pitcher Zack Hogan was fantastic. The London left-hander was named the player of the game in London's 3-1 win. Hogan got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Hogan allowed no earned runs.
Making an impact for London was center fielder Jim Jameson. He drilled a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, Jameson went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Hogan told the London Times.
London, at 11-14, sits in third place in the Lester B. Person League East Division.
