Tom Simpson never let Calgary get something going. The Kelowna right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Heat to a 4-1 win. Kelowna's record now stands at 13-11, placing them third in the Lester B. Person League West Division.

Eric Leveque drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Kelowna. The 19-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Pete Reidel. It was his 12th RBI of the season.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Simpson said.
