Montreal had no answer for London Monarchs hurler Bart Woodward, who overwhelmed Royales hitters as the Monarchs coasted to a 6-1 victory. At 8-11, the Monarchs find themselves in third place in the Lester B. Person League East Division.

With no one out in the top of the fourth, Jim Jameson stroked a go-ahead run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put London in front, 1-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Jameson said after the game.
