Capitals Continue Skid Thanks to Parry, Heat
|
The Kelowna Heat beat the Victoria Capitals, 7-3, at Brantford College Grounds. The Heat got a fine performance from right fielder Kevin Parry, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The Capitals, at 9-10, have lost 4 straight games.
Kelowna third baseman Eric Leveque gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded and the Heat leading 4-3, Leveque drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We'll savor this win," Parry told the Kelowna Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
