Outlaws Dump Saints, 5-3
|
Blue Wings Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Trois-Rivieres Saints and Calgary Outlaws.
The Trois-Rivieres Saints got a superb performance from first baseman Paul Marleau. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Calgary. The Outlaws won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Marleau was named the player of the game. He slugged 2 home runs. Calgary is now 13-6, 3 games up in the Lester B. Person League West Division.
Trois-Rivieres had a runner on 1st in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Dale Colvin came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he struck out. The score remained 5-3, Calgary. The Saints saw their comeback bid fail.
