Carter Canning had a good game, but he could not keep the Victoria Capitals from falling, 6-4, to the Saskatoon Legends at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The Victoria catcher went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. Saskatoon reliever Jonathan Horton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nicolas Durand was saddled with the loss. Saskatoon has now won 5 games in a row.

Saskatoon took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, first baseman Mike McCluskie hit a 2-run home run that electrified the crowd.

"I believe in our guys," said Saskatoon skipper Allen Cummings. "I like the energy they're playing with."
