Stogies Need Extras to Top Beavers
|
Starting pitcher Peter Miner pitched well enough to help the Havana Stogies beat the Portland Beavers by the score of 4-3. Portland has now lost 4 in a row.
Havana won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Rolf Pals on the mound for Portland, designated hitter Reynaldo Aguilera hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Stogies fans to their feet.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Miner said.
