Saints Come Back Late, Nip Stars
The Niagara Stars wasted an impressive 5.1-inning effort from starter Rich Neilson, falling 2-1 to the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Drummondville College Grounds. Waldo Perron earned the save, his 2nd, for the Saints. Trois-Rivieres now sits at 3-11, while Niagara falls to 9-6.

Runs were hard to come by in this one. Bennett Conroy's at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth, therefore, was critical. The Trois-Rivieres center fielder hit a 2-run double, to put his team on top, 2-1.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Juan Alea.
