Kean hits 2 home runs, Stars Move to 5-3
|
The Niagara Stars downed the Calgary Outlaws, 4-1, at Drummondville College Grounds. The Stars were led by Tim Kean, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Kendrick Nixon finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Niagara, now 5-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Kean had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Stars went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort," said Kean after the game.
