Saints Continue Skid Thanks to Kavanagh, Legends
The Saskatoon Legends topped the Trois-Rivieres Saints by the score of 13-8, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Burt Kavanagh. Kavanagh went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Legends on the day. Jim Reusch, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Saskatoon, now 3-5, is off to a slow start.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the batter, Burt Kavanagh, hit a 3-run home run. It helped Saskatoon seize the win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Kavanagh told a Saskatoon Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
