Capitals Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Victoria Capitals faced a tough opponent in Montreal pitcher Mike Norton, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Eliminators Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Norton went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Jim Unknown in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Stephen Lau took the loss. Losses have been rare for the Royales, who are now 5-2.

Gideon Vaillancourt had the most critical at-bat for Victoria. With one in the top of the tenth inning, Vaillancourt hit a 1-0 fastball from Stephen Lau for a run-scoring single. It put Victoria in front, 4-3.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Tom Morton, the Victoria skipper.
