The Montreal Royales defeated the London Monarchs, 6-4, at Eliminators Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Montreal was designated hitter Gannon West. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Stephen Lau sewed up the save, his 2nd. With the win, Montreal goes to 3-1.
West had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Royales went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," West told the Montreal Gazette.
