Outlaws Spoil Opening Day for Legends, Their Fans
|
The 2032 season began for the Saskatoon Legends with a loss to the Calgary Outlaws at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The final score was 4-1. Calgary pitcher Davy Holland earned top player honors. The winning pitcher was Holland, now 1-0. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5.
The Outlaws got a lift from second baseman Chris Hickey who had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning off Zach Arrington. It was his 1st RBI of the season and put Calgary in front, 2-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Calgary manager Kiminobu Kamida.
