Capitals Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
The Victoria Capitals started the 2032 season win an impressive 6-0 win against the London Monarchs at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Justin Adler, who is the top prospect in the Capitals organization, was named player of the game. Adler, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up no walks. Dave Sonier earned the save, his 1st, for the Capitals.

Jim Dixon went 1 for 3 with a walk for Victoria. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Zack Hogan. It was his 1st walk of the season.

"I just made my pitches," said Adler, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
