Earthquakes, Estrada Blast Armada

The San Francisco Earthquakes handed the Quebec Armada a sound defeat, 12-0, at Golden Gate Park. Ruben Estrada was a main contributor to the win. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times and drove in 2 for San Francisco. The Earthquakes are now 29-46, while the Armada fall to 46-29.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Luis Álvarez went deep for the Earthquakes. With San Francisco leading 6-0, he drilled a grand slam home run.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Álvarez told the San Francisco Observer. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
