Horned Frogs Sink Bears, 7-4
|
TCU played host to Baylor at the friendly confines of Dingoes Ballpark.
The TCU Horned Frogs downed the Baylor Bears, 7-4, at Dingoes Ballpark. The Horned Frogs were led by Jon Dibling, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ray Mier picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 3-5.
In the bottom of the fifth, Christian Brown took a slider from Jeremy Sandberg and pounded a 3-run home run to left. It put TCU on top, 6-3. For the game, Brown was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Brown.
TCU bumps their record to 15-31 with the win.
