Pickering Leads Auburn to Win
|
The Auburn Tigers reigned over the Miami Hurricanes in damp conditions at Gremlins Ballpark.
Auburn Tigers starter Steve Pickering was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Miami Hurricanes, 7-0. Auburn now has a 3-game win streak.
The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old Pickering. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Tigers. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Hurricanes, striking out 9 and scattering 1 hit over 6 innings. Pickering is now 3-2 on the season.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Auburn manager Victor Rafferty.
