In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Miami Hurricanes topped the Virginia Cavaliers, 7-4, with youngster Alex Sandobal playing a key role. Sandobal went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk for the Hurricanes in the win. Jim Unknown got credit for the save for Miami. It was his 1st of the year.

Ashton Jones was a key contributor to the win for the Hurricanes. In the top of the second with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a home run to left. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

In comments to the Miami Citizen, Jones insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.

The 5th-place Cavaliers have lost 4 straight games.
