Walk-Off Seals 34th Victory for Bulldogs
|
In a tight battle between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the South Mississippi Golden Eagles, pitcher Jamie Barry was in the zone. The Fresno State right-hander was named the player of the game in Fresno State's 2-1 win. Fresno State goes to 34-11. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
Fresno State won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Tim Lavin on the mound for South Mississippi, first baseman Jimmy Landry hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Bulldogs fans to their feet.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Barry said.
