Late Rally Gets Win for Jayhawks
A 5-RBI performance from the 19-year old right fielder Marco Gomez helped the Kansas Jayhawks beat the South Illinois Salukis, 7-3. The Jayhawks move to 18-27 with the win, while the Salukis drop to 19-26.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Gomez. Facing Cory Dorsey with the bases loaded, the Kansas center fielder had a grand slam home run. Game over, walk-off style!

"I hope this win gives us a jumpstart," said Gomez.
