Late Magic Gets Kansas 2-1 Win
The Iowa State Cyclones wasted an inspired, 5.2-inning effort from starter Alex Castillo, falling 2-1 to the Kansas Jayhawks at Forney College Grounds. Kansas reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jason Allen absorbed the loss. Kansas is now 17-27, while Iowa State is 28-16.

Aaron Hampe had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, helping Kansas to the win.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Hampe.
