Multi-HR Day for Burry as Islanders Overpower Rhinos, 8-1

The Hawaii Islanders beat the Rubber City Rhinos, 8-1, at The Rubber Grounds. Hawaii third baseman Jim Burry earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Mikey Altman picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 5-3. The second-place Rhinos have lost 4 consecutive games.
Early in the game, Burry had a 2-run double for Hawaii. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Islanders on top, 2-0.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Hawaii manager Leland Ray.
