Commodores Win at Oklahoma State, 7-1
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Vanderbilt used a superb performance from starting pitcher David Swint to down the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 7-1. The Commodores now have a mark of 27-16.
Mike Mottaz, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Eddie Painter for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put Vanderbilt in front, 3-0.
"Good win for us," said Mottaz. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
