Ducks Drop Another One
|
Ole Miss starter Gabe Perkins had a strong outing against the Oregon Ducks at Ballpark of Wrightsville College. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-4 win. Cory Hoffman earned the save, his 1st. The 5th-place Ducks have dropped 5 straight games.
Andrew Istre provided some late-game heroics for Ole Miss. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 1-0 slider from Rory Cowan and propelled Ole Miss to a 5-4 lead.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Perkins.
