Tar Heels Get 6-2 Win Versus Ohio State
|
The North Carolina Tar Heels stymied the Ohio State Buckeyes, 6-2, at Bruisers Ballpark. J.D. Bruce, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for North Carolina. The Tar Heels raised their record to 26-16.
In the bottom of the third inning, first baseman Bryan Wilson had a key at-bat for the Tar Heels. With North Carolina leading 1-0, he banged a solo home run.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Wilson told the North Carolina News.
