Nick Brodish made an impact in the 9-6 Michigan win over Auburn. Brodish was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Michigan reliever Ray Kline was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Jim Unknown took the loss for Auburn. James Arnold nailed down his 10th save.
Brodish had an impressive at-bat with the game on the line. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he hit a 1-1 fastball from Jim Unknown for a grand slam home run. Just like that, the Wolverines took the lead, 9-6.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Brodish.
Today's win puts Michigan at 21-21, while Auburn falls to 22-20.
