Kansas got a terrific game from first baseman Aaron Hampe. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Arkansas, 9-7. Hampe was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Arkansas reliever Chris Carpenter picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-1. Jonathan Countryman was collared with the loss. Their 21-20 record puts the Razorbacks 10th in the Ron Fraser Division.

Andrew Taylor had a clutch at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for the Razorbacks. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Arkansas trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single.
