Sooners Fall to Hodges, Cowboys
The Oklahoma State Cowboys knocked off the Oklahoma Sooners, 4-0, at Canaries Ballpark. Shawn Hodges, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Oklahoma State won. The third baseman went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Oklahoma State reliever Jon Beaulieu was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Chris Noonan took the loss. The 6th-place Cowboys improved to 23-18.

An important at-bat for Oklahoma State came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hodges hit a 2-run double, which contributed to the Cowboys win.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hodges said after the game.
