Morrow, Horned Frogs Fall to Golden Eagles
|
TCU catcher Vince Morrow was sensational. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. South Mississippi beat the Horned Frogs, 6-5. Morrow was named the player of the game despite the loss. The Golden Eagles have an impressive 25-15 record.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, catcher Danny Stepp had a key at-bat for the Golden Eagles. With South Mississippi leading 5-1, he banged a solo home run.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Stepp told the South Mississippi Citizen.
