Victory Pushes Stogies Record to 55-20
|
Havana right-hander Ijaz Kharoti pitched his team to victory over the Portland Beavers at The Humidor. The final score was 3-2. The Stogies own a robust 55-20 mark.
The Stogies used some clutch hitting to beat the Beavers, a good example being the at-bat of Silvio Garcia in the bottom of the second. With two down, Garcia gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he hit a 2-run double.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Garcia told the Havana Daily.
