Miami shortstop Ryan Murphy had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 12-10, to Iowa State at Gremlins Ballpark. Murphy went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The winner was Ayden Dixon in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Matt Graf took the loss. Nick Swanson closed the game out for Iowa State, earning his 10th save.

Miami manager Leslie Hanson said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."
