Wildcats Continue Skid Thanks to Sorrells, Sun Devils
|
It was a good time at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College, where fans came to watch the Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils get after it.
The Arizona State Sun Devils put together a convincing win at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College, defeating the Arizona Wildcats, 12-3. Tim Sorrells was one of the hitting stars. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Arizona State. The 17th-place Wildcats have lost 5 straight games.
Sorrells had a big at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fourth inning. With his team down, 3-1, the left fielder hit a 3-run home run to put Arizona State ahead.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Arizona manager Zak Buchanan.
