Ragin Cajuns Hand Golden Eagles 13-3 Beat-Down
The Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns easily defeated the South Mississippi Golden Eagles, 13-3, at Field of the Dukes, with third baseman Aaron Kingsley a main contributor to the win. He was 2-2 with a double and 3 walks, while adding 4 RBI for Louisiana-Layfayette. Phil Wiseman got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Golden Eagles to 3 earned runs on 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 2. With the win over South Mississippi, the Ragin Cajuns improved to 18-18.

Parking one for Louisiana-Layfayette was Jim Litt. The right fielder had a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth for the Ragin Cajuns. It put his team ahead, 6-2, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Litt went 2-5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once.

"We got our butts kicked," said South Mississippi manager Jason Metcalf.
