Streaking Cyclones Win Another One
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Iowa State Cyclones.

The Cyclones faced a stiff challenge from South Carolina pitcher Charlie Maples, but persevered to claim a win at Forney College Grounds. The final score was 6-2. Maples went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. This win makes it 8 in a row for Iowa State.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, left fielder David Gold had a key at-bat for the Cyclones. With Iowa State leading 3-2, he banged a solo home run.
