A nice crowd turned out to see the Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers clash at Ballpark of Bismarck College.

The Florida Gators topped the Tennessee Volunteers, 9-3, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Bismarck College. The player of the game was Florida designated hitter Jose Lopez. The winner was Florida reliever Sam Foust, now 2-0. The loser was Danny Nunez.

Chipping in for Florida was shortstop Tristan Wilson. He stroked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, Wilson was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Torazo Yamamoto said.

Florida currently is in 11th place in the Ron Fraser Division at 19-17.
