Iowa State used a superb performance from starting pitcher Rafael Velasco to down the Missouri Tigers, 5-1. Iowa State bumps their record to 20-14 with the win.
Iowa State grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Ben Wollney delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Cyclones.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Theodore Foster.
