Gators Pull Even With 6-5 Victory
Florida shortstop Tristan Wilson picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Miami Hurricanes, 6-5. The win was credited to Jim Unknown in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Rich Steele took the loss. The save went to Steve Paul, his 8th this season.

Wilson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Jon Fitton, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Gators a 6-4 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Wilson.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Florida manager Torazo Yamamoto.

Florida is now 17-17, while Miami is 20-14.
