Commodores Score Late to Upend Sooners, 3-2
Despite a great performance by Oklahoma left fielder Sam Bond, the Vanderbilt Commodores defeated the Sooners by the score of 3-2 at Ballpark of Barrow College. Bond was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. Vanderbilt reliever Jimmy Gregus got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Eddie Rodriges was tagged with the loss. The Commodores have an impressive 21-12 record.

Matt Strickland was the walk-off hero for Vanderbilt. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Commodores designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Strickland said.
