Blackwell Helps Ohio State Cruise to 11-3 Win
The Ohio State Buckeyes handed the Clemson Tigers a sound defeat, 11-3, at Magistrates Ballpark. Ben Blackwell was a main contributor to the win. He went 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Ohio State. Zachary Royster earned the win to go to 3-0. He allowed no earned runs on 3 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts. Mike Staggs earned the save for Ohio State, his 1st.

Ryan Vickers had a chance to do some damage in the bottom of the eighth. With Clemson trailing 11-1, Clemson had the bases loaded. Vickers grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Clemson would not finish the comeback.

The Buckeyes now have a record of 18-15 with the win over Clemson.
