The Washington State Cougars met little resistance from the Oregon State Beavers, beating them 12-0 at Palisades Ballpark. Barry Wirfel led the way. He went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Washington State. Mike Moline earned the win for Washington State. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. Francisco Palacios picked up the save for Washington State, his 1st of the year.
