Fresno State and Long Beach State got after it at Ballpark of Macclenny College.

The Fresno State Bulldogs powered past the Long Beach State 49'ers, 11-6, at Ballpark of Macclenny College. Bobby Wilson went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. Nate Lee got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the ninth inning when the Bulldogs sent teenager Bobby Douberly to the plate against 49'ers hurler David Guyer. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 2-0 sinker to score 2.
