Wesseler, Crimson Tide Too Much for Buckeyes
The Alabama Crimson Tide easily defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes, 13-4, at Titans Ballpark, with left fielder Mike Wesseler a main contributor to the win. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for Alabama. Dan Spires earned the save for Alabama, his 1st of the year. Even with the win, the Crimson Tide have a dismal 10-21 record.

Alabama took the lead in the bottom of the first on a big hit from Josh Knudsen. On a first pitch curveball from Joel Rubsam, Knudsen hit a 2-run double. That made it 2-0, Crimson Tide. For the day, Knudsen was 1-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Knudsen.
