LSU used a superb performance from starting pitcher Blake Orlando to down the Houston Cougars, 2-1. Orlando, the winner, moves to 5-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up no walks. John Robinson recorded his 1st save for LSU.

Evan Engel had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the Tigers. Coming up with a runner on 1st and LSU trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.
