Bulldogs Rally For Late Win Over Crimson Tide
|
The Bulldogs grabbed a win, 3-2, at Field of the Plunder, overcoming a fine effort from Alabama pitcher Jeff Magee. Magee went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. A.J. Schneider recorded the save for Georgia, his 6th of the season. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Alabama.
Georgia took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, third baseman Jack Crosby hit a 2-run home run that electrified the crowd.
After the game, Crosby refused to speak to a reporter for the Georgia Citizen. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
