Late Rally Gets Win for Commodores
The Vanderbilt Commodores eked out a 2-1 win versus the Virginia Cavaliers at Ballpark of Redwood College. Nobody did more than pitcher Bobby Peters, who captured player of the game honors. The Commodores now have a record of 18-12.

Brent Biernacki put Vanderbilt in front, 2-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Jon Moore in the top of the ninth. It was his 7th home run of the season.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Peters said after the game.
