Trojans Get Close Win Over Bulldogs
The USC Trojans did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Nesquehoning College Fields. Nobody did more than left fielder Greg Dimon, who captured player of the game honors. The win was Chris Cottman's in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Shane Corley took the loss for Mississippi State. With the victory, the Trojans record now stands at 15-15.

Dimon contributed when he drew a walk in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with two outs and a runner on 2nd, the walk proved to be critical to helping USC get the win.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Mississippi State manager Carlton Price. "But we decided not to take it."
