The Mile High Mustangs got a magnificent performance from pitcher Pero Donini, who muffled the Cabo San Lucas offense en route to a tight 2-1 Mustangs win at Field de Los Layendas. With the win, the Mustangs have a record of 39-31.
Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Jim Bungay, hit a single. It helped Mile High seize the win.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Donini.
