Rebels Take Nail-Biter Over Cougars
Ole Miss Rebels starter Sergio Guerrero pitched a strong game against the Houston Cougars at Ballpark of Wrightsville College, leading the Rebels to a 4-3 win. Ole Miss reliever Daniel Flamenco was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jared Wright took the loss. The Rebels now have a mark of 14-14.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Bryan Kimbrell came to bat in the bottom of the 17th. Facing Houston pitcher Jared Wright, he hit a 1-1 curveball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Ole Miss on top, 4-3.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Houston manager Cisco Sánchez.
