The Oklahoma State Cowboys defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks, 9-5, in Skip Bertman League action at Canaries Ballpark, with Oklahoma State left fielder Doug Djordjevic named player of the game. Justin Gilmore, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 5 innings. The win puts the Cowboys at 17-11, while the Gamecocks drop to 15-13.

Oklahoma State took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on a big hit from Paul Prince. On a 2-2 changeup from Lee Harper, Prince hit a grand slam home run. That made it 5-1, Cowboys. For the day, Prince was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Djordjevic said.
